  • Who is John Hendrick?

    John Hendrick is a veteran and Leica street photographer based in San Antonio (formerly NYC), with 23 years of service as a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman. His photography captures raw, authentic moments—transforming chaos into clarity

  • Why do you shoot only with Leica?

    Leica cameras align with John’s philosophy: precision, minimalism, and immersion. They “disappear in the moment,” allowing authentic storytelling. His work has been recognized by Leica Latin America, Mexico, Portugal, and was part of the Leica M11P campaign

  • What styles or themes define your work?

    John balances motion and stillness, capturing fleeting gestures, blurred memories, urban rhythms, and everyday poetry. His series includes “Recollection,” “Homeland,” “Interwoven Cities,” and focused street/documentary projects in NYC, San Antonio, Peru, and elsewhere

  • Do you offer prints for sale?

    Yes! A curated print collection is available in your Print Shop, including limited pieces like “Yellow Cab” (only 5 framed and 10 open editions in 12×18”). Visitors can choose framed or unframed options

  • Do you teach photography?

    Absolutely. John is currently an Instructor at the Southwest School of Art and offers bespoke private workshops and mentorships. Through group and one-on-one sessions, he helps photographers develop their personal voice faster
